I just got a Triple dog and when i plug it in, it says version 2.5.0, Not sure what version this is or if it is even a crazy larry version. If its not, can i go back to an older version? On the downloader, should it say tow, performance, extreme, crazy larry or just tow, performance, extreme? Right now my only options are tow, performance, extreme. Is the extereme the crazy larry tune? Thanks in advanced

 

No it is just a an extreme tune, im not sure if crazy larry can be back loaded to 2.5.0 but if it can there are plenty of members here that can send it to you

 

Yeah that is what i am trying to find out, im not sure if i can go back in time so to speak and be able to load the crazy larry file, if i cant, guess i will send this down the road

 

I should also note that the triple dog does have the feature to turn off torque management, i dont know if this is a normal feature of version 2.5.0 or not, thanks

When I bought the BD tripple dog for my Dmax I only did it for the crazy larry tune. The dealer told me to download it from there site and it was still advertised on the front of the box it came in. I was pretty disappointed when I found out the crazy larry was no longer available and the only way to get it was a hack to load the older version. I didnt want the older version though because it didnt have all the same features. So instead I took the BD back and got my $620 back. The LBZ Dmax realy moved with it on extreme but the shifts sucked and I hated the TQ management. Cant say I miss it too much. Now I'm using HPTuners and can download most any tune file by almost every company out there.

 

I bought the triple dog used from a buddy and he said it had the crazy larry tune in it, but it does not show up on the downloader, just tow, performance and extreme. He aslo loaded the newest version off bully dogs website last weekend so i dont know if its even possible to go back in time so to speak, but i will give it a shot. It has great power up to, but some what nutless down low.

 

Yea mine was nutless off the line too but I think it was in the 1st gear tune though, so it doesnt spin all over the place.

Go over to dieselbombers forum, they have the hack for crazy larry.
