Box for my new truck

I just traded the 03 dually in for an 06 and I want to add a box for more performance. I do not run gauges and dont want radical power just more and reliable. What are the options and which is easiest to deal with???? I had an Edge EZ on my old truck and it was great.

VA 3.1

Good, smooth, mild towing box. Affordable, low EGTs. Most people will never need more.

Box

If your not going to get gagues and want a good reliable box, I would most likely go with the Edge EZ again. That seems to be a really nice box. Also Quad has a ZXT I believe which is very similar to the EZ in terms of HP and TQ levels. There both right around 299 and would problably be your best bet. Congrads on the 06, you'll love it (if nothing breaks on it) We've all had little problems but other than that, great truck.

The VA C3.1 doesn't work on the '04.5+ 600/610 version. Only on the '03-04 models.

The XZT will run harder than the EZ for a better price. You can buy it here or from a number of vendors on this site.

For the money and the power this is also hard to beat. It is adjustable, but definately a lot more kick than an EZ.

I would look at the TS Performance MP8 before any of the others listed above. The major advantage here is that if you ever decide to upgrade for more power the MP8 stacks really great with most other modules or programmers. It also offers total adjustability in cab, and is very easy to install or remove for dealer service. Add up to 100HP for performance.

Go with Quad standard. You have 30 & 60 for light use & 100 for the heck of it. Its not so much power that you,ll have problems with other components. It stops just short of that IMO. Use common sense. I have had it for 2 weeks
& the 100 setting sends you from 60 to 90 in the blink of an eye!

Quadzilla support has been great for me & most everyone else who has needed it. Quad is online here on a regular basis.

'Course everyone is gonna recommend what they have...

1st thing you need to ask yourself is if you want a plug and play underhood box or a programmer that plugs into the OBDIII port and re-flashes the computer. Once you figure that out you need to decide if you want adjstable power or a single set. Only thing I can suggest in your application without sounding biased is to stay away from the pressure only boxes, and do plenty of research so you know just what you're getting into.
