Boost Fooler

After being asked time and time again we finally decided to produce a boost fooler for the 03-06 trucks. We have tested it on our vehicles, but I would like to send a couple of "beta" units out to make sure our results match those in the field.

I do not need a bunch, but a couple of guys that have gauges would be nice.

In our testing on 04.5-06 trucks you should pick up anywhere from 9-14 psi depending on how much fuel you have to spool the turbo. You should be able to make 38psi on a stock truck and up to 45 psi or more on a truck that is heavily fueled.

We have seen anywhere from a 50 deg drop on a stock truck to over 250 deg drop on heavily fueled trucks. I am not sure about HP gain as we did not dyno anything. I have to figure you would gain a good 15-20hp on top at the minimum.

Basically this mod snaps in-between the MAP sensor and the factory harness. No wires going anywhere. Your wastegate will be kept closed automatically.

On the 03-04 trucks you will be able to manually defeat your wastegate now without getting any codes. You can either pinch the tube off or you can use a new brass fitting that closes the air to the wastegate. We only ran our 03 truck up to about 34psi, but I am sure you can run all you want.

This will work great for those with a Downloader, Injectors, or people that want to run cooler egt's on a stock truck without making any real modifications.

If a couple of you want to test one please let me know. I only have a couple with production expected to be about 2 weeks or so at the latest.

I am sure there will be pricing available from the DTR and from our other vendors on the board very soon.

If you have any questions please let me know.

I'm looking for a Boost Fooler, would be willing to Beta test, or would like to purchase if the Betas are all spoken for.

Thanks,

Lee

First off thanks for the offers.

Secondly you guys with a module, at least our module will see no benefit from this part. We already take the needed steps so that you can make more than stock amounts of boost.

What we really need are some guys with downloaders that want more boost than basically stock. It will make more power up top and cool your max egt's.

I believe we already have plenty of guys that are stock wanting one.

Thanks again.

Got a 03 stock other then boost gauge.
I would try one and sense it sounds maybe full " didn't say what years full"
When you going to put it out and how much?
Looking for a little more, not much maybe that will help things.

Quad,

Does the boost fooler modify the signal from the ECM based on the input from the IAT sensor?
I have an extremely free-breathing intake & exhaust, and it seems as if the engine is operating close to the edge of the fuel map as a result. I incorporated the stock IAT sensor into the super BHAF, very close to the impeller - would that make a difference?
I'd like to test your stand alone boost fooler, because when I get the Quad Race box I won't be able to tell how much the fueling & fooling will affect boost pressure independently...
I have all autometer analog gauges, plus an electronic datalogger for testing.

Let me know - I'm about 30 miles away, so I can come by the shop!
