I need a boost bolt, is this something I can goto the hardware store and make from parts pin? Or is there somehting special about them? Detailed picture?

 

My understanding is that the boost bolts will not work on 04.5 and newer trucks.....

LOL, why not?
Works fine on my 05. Its just a bolt with a hole in it so you can use your gauge to measure boost pressure.(Instead of drilling/tapping the intake elbow)

Sorry, was thinking of the adjustable boost elbows......

 

i have an 06' and installed gauges today. boost bolt was included with the kit. works fine. a little tight trying to get in.
