bilstein help!
Went to install my bilstein rear shocks. the writing is upside down. Do they go with the boots down or in the regular direction?

Most shocks are designed to be installed "can down". If you do not know which way they go I would contact Bilstein. If you do not mount them the right way the damping will not be right.

uhhhhh., NO
Bilstien's are one of the few shocks that CAN be mounted with the shaft down, which I prefer, but be sure to keep the shaft clean... Any TRUE "mono-tube" shock is like this...
edit: Thought I might add....
This also means any low quality shock HAS TO have the shaft be up... These shocks would be almost every shock out there commonly availible(rancho5000-9000, monroe, gabriel, factory, etc)
KYB "gas-a-just" shocks and Bilstiens are the two common high quality shocks which are good mono-tube...
