Billet output

Does anyone know if someone makes a BILLET output shaft for a 2wd tranny?

What I'd really like to know is if Opie makes one, that way I won't have to worry about it breaking

All three billet shafts installed in my 48re came from Piers. Same 48re in 2wd or 4wd.

Thats new to me. I didn't know that the outputs are the same for a 2wd and 4wd. I can't see how they can be the same because the trannies are different lenghts. The 2wd is like 12" longer.

Can you get me the part #s for both the 2wd and the 4wd outputs.

Thanks CRIS

Well I might have to eat that assumption. I assumed they were the same. I let my mouth show my ignorance once again . My invoice does not have the part numbers for the shafts. I know in summer 2005 they had a group doing their own transmission upgrades. I don't think they are doing that anymore. I will check tomorrow from Michael and get part numbers from Piers if they are still available for a 2WD transmission.

Thanks for your help.

From what I have seen, the input and the inter are the same but the outputs are different.

If you can find one that would be a great help.

md,

Sorry, I spoke with Piers and they have discontinued sales on all transmission parts and builds. So I think that puts you back to the normal name brand manufacturers.
