Cool Biggest Dually tire w/o spacers

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has had any luck finding a taller dually m/t tire to run on the stock 17" wheels w/o spacers?

A 285/70 is taller but depending on which brand name they may touch.I have Nitto 285's and they touched with a 1/4" spacer.Had to go to a bolt on 2" spacer. My friend is running 285 Firestones and they have about a 1/2" gap when using a 1/4" spacer.Ideally a 255/80/17 would be perfect but only Bfg list them and its still not yet available.

There are lots of guys running bigger. All the way to 35's.There just isn't any options for taller but skinny.I ran the Cooper st's in 265's like you and loved them but they just don't fill up the fender wells enough.Probably why your looking for a taller tire? Is there a reason you don't want to go to a bolt on spacer?

The only reason I dont want to go to a bolt on spacer is that i pull alot of weight quite often, between 20,000-30,000lbs and just worried about a spacer holding up to that. Just personal piece of mind.

Theres a member on here that tows heavy with his.I think his name is Topper.Might want to send him a pm.I haven't towed anywhere near that weight to give you an answer on mine. I bought mine from Arrowcraft. They are steel and very well made. They use 5/8" lugs instead of the stock 9/16" for mounting the outer wheel.I didn't trust the aluminum ones for the same reason as you.

I'm runnin 285/70/17 nitto all terrain....no spacers have enough gap that even a 30k# load doesn't make them touch. I know you said taller. I'm not sure on that.

Here are some pics of my 06 with 2" spacers. I tow alot and pretty heavy(10-20 K. I also carry ALOTof weight (5-6k at times more) in the truck and love the way the truck handles with and without weight. I had the same spacers on my 03 which I put about 90,000 miles on them when they were on the 03 and now I have 95,000 on my 06 and the spacers are holding up well. I have had these spacers so long I forgot who made them but I bought them from 4 Sight (518)736-2030 ask for Ivan and tell him your asking about the spacers that Randy Christman uses.
Take care,
Topper
