And I commend you on that. I take pride in doing my own work and commend others. When I purchased my kit, it was off of a 2nd gen truck so I had to rework all the cold piping. Trust me....it looks just as good as the pic if not better IMO.

Unfortunately not everyone is mechanically inclined enough to do the things we do. And I never claimed to be the best, you have to have an open mind when doing this kind of work. I just think it should have been compared a little more fairly.

I don't understand first you take a shot at me for throwing a price out there, then you tell me to go PDR website representing them as your builder, then you post a pic that isn't your truck, then you tell me that you did your own work from a set of used twins, and then you make a comment saying I am not mechanical enough to do my own work. So you bought a used setup and did your own work, that is usually cheaper than 10k.

Correct me if I am wrong. Also I do not really need to see pics I was just interested in your truck.

JD Dearden,

Get over it! Your looking WAY to far into what lmills said. He simply said it doesn't take 10,000 bucks to run twins. IT DOESN'T!

PDR's twins are his kit. They were for a 2nd gen and he did changes to make them fit his truck.

The picture he posted is pretty much the SAME thing. He even stated that.

YOU CAN BUY A NEW SET OF TWINS and run them without spending 10,000. peroid.

Heres the deal...

All NEW prices.

Silver Bullet $2,200
Studs $435
Afe Stage 2 $450

= $3085
+ manifold if you want one

$3485.

---------------------------

Twins

For quick example.

Bd twins $3800 Includes filter/2nd gen manifold
Studs $435

$4235

For $800 more bucks you have FAR BETTER street manners and push just as much air with less drive pressures... Its a no brainer.

Some might ask why I preach twins and have a single.... When I bought my truck I had NO idea and jumped on the "industrial injection single turbo bandwagon"....

What a mistake I made. FOr less than 1,000 bucks I could have a much more enjoyable street mannered truck that my grandmother could drive. The lag is just rediculous...

I think that I might go to twins next year too,, I have the super 6280, so I could send it out and get it upgraded to the 66, and then put a nice little one with it,, and I think that it would be the ultimate towing machine for me

Morkable,

you would be better off using the 6280 on top.

The 66 is too small for the primary on a set of twins

The turbo you have would make a SWEET secondary turbo...

You'll get mixed opinions on that question. Most high performance guys think you need an external wastegate to keep the drive pressures down.

As you probably know, rc *** made a little over 800 hp with nitrous with their kit.

The price sure does look good tho

LOL No wonder you think what you do about twins. Let's try this again. In the beginning I never said I built a set of twins. I said I had 2700 in my twins. Then you asked for the pics. I showed you pictures of the Piers kit(which is who designed them).

Now, if you know anything at all about the PDR kits, you know they have a few small thngs about them that sets them out from the rest. Anway, back to my story.

I have the Piers kit off of a 2nd gen, the only difference is it had to be modded slightly to make them work on a 3rd gen.( the cold pipe had to be narrowed 1" in the front to clear the battery and the innercooler pipe had to be rebuilt) However with what I have seen of your vast knowledge of twins, am sure you knew that LOL

Forget it Luke. Some people talk about how to build HP. Others do it. LOL
