Well Twins are a ton of money to do it right and very very few people do it right, also you can run a big single and tow I am a living proof of that. So I say if you want to keep your truck for a long time and have 10k then get twins.

Silverbullet + Intake + Downpipe is not too far off what a set of twins will run you. I don't buy the reliability issue... I haven't put a wrench on my chargers in over a year. They do take some tuning, but once right you will have a more useable powerband.

$1,700 shipped for my Silverbullet that I got from the classifides here
FREE No need for a down pipe on my 03 6speed
$220 AEM from before the I bought the SB.
Labor was free since it was an easy replacment

If your thinking about turbos then you probably already have an intake.

It was a deal I couldnt pass up.

Like I said before if I wanted to go twins I would get a large set of twins to make it worth it since I passed on a SB thats capable of 800hp.

So how much is a good large set of twins go for after everything is said and done.

$5-6K for good twins from Piers or the Big ATS
$400 in tax
$120 in shipping
$1,500-$2000 for head work
$900 guess in labor
$? any other odds and ends and exhaust mods needed
$? time and distance traveled to get the work done, hotel's, rental car, food, fuel and any other travel expences..

It all adds up. My incidentals on my SB install was $1.40 for oil return line gasket, $2.15 for two nuts and bolts, and $25.95 for 04.5+ ol return line.

add it up and your over $8,000 for a good set of large twins installed and the head work to give you pice of mind and the ability to use the large twins to their full potential.

vs my $1,700 I spent on my Silverbullet

I'm almost tempted to call Piers or ATS and see how much it would cost for a drive in and drive out for big twins+ head work???

10K for twins......you guys are funny. LMAO I guess I was foolish to spend my 2700 for my twins that barely support my uses. LOL

Edit: Ok I need another good laugh. Why on earth would you need an additonal 2K in headwork to run twins and not a silver bullet? Cause I certainly haven't spent a dime on anything that you wouldif you had a single.

No joke....

$5,000- $6,000 in twins

400 in tax - ship it outside of the state and you dont pay tax

$120 for shipping - Nope

Headwork -

The headwork thing gets me

So Luken you are saying that you wouldnt recommend headwork? I am of the oppinion that if you want to put out some serious boost, and want reliability you should have some headwork done, if not at least arps and gasket, am I wrong in this thinking? I am putting out around 55psi with my 6280 and I am seriously thinking about getting some headwork done, should I just leave it?

No headwork here... just studs. I ran on the stock bolts for a year before that... same 58 psi now and then (studs came with the nitrous). No tax since Scheid is in Indiana. Going to have shipping either way. No labor since the install was done by myself and Dad, and it's not that hard. Downpipe bolted right up to my exhaust system. I have a little more than Lmills in my system, but not a lot more. Certainly no 10k! At my current ~700rwhp level my egts max at 1350.

PS...I have a hard time believing a SB will make 800hp at sea level with a 1.0 correction factor!

Luken

I also have a set of twins 64/12 on top and a B2-S400 on the bottom. The top turbo makes 62psi, the bottom turbo makes 30psi and my drive pressures are only 65psi.

I have only put studs in the head, but no head work

I would like to see pics of your twins and all the plumbing, and you have no idea what I am talking about.
