I dont drive my truck solely for mileage gains as I usually get reimbursed those charges but just out of curiosity I thought it would be worthy to list all of the things that CLAIM to give you mpg gains and what people acctually saw (hand calculated of course).

Has anyone ever done them all and what kind of numbers did they get? NO FUDGING ANSWERS PLEASE:

I didn't think 2 mpg was unimpressive at all with the freespins in fact I would've been happy with 1 extra mpg there. I think you were most unimpressed with my best ever 18.79 mpg hand calc that's with the freespins + the overdrive when there's a lots of guys on here claiming they routinely get 20+ mpg without those mods on 35" tires etc, etc. I always have and always will call BS on those claims. I was getting 15.5 stock off the lot and think 18.79 is some awesome mpg's especially considering I consistently drive at 80 to 85 mph on the interstate.

So my improvements based on hand calcs:

+2 with freespins
+.5 with Jr
overdrive maintains good mpgs at high speeds
0 with intake
0 with exhaust
0 with full synthetics

 

I put on twins & picked up 7-9 mpg more & way more power ?

the twins are the best mechanical mod so far hands down !

its unreal no other changes of any kind except the twins !

no regrets here I am liking the mpg enhancement

with the 66 single I was getting around 11-13 ave mpg hand calculated

with twins 18-22 mpg hand calculated

same driving habits-speeds 75 mph ave speed some stop & go in city lots of freeway driving 65-80 mph at 75 mph I am at 1700 rpms
about 10 lbs boost

I was going to bigger injectors but with the increase in mpgs and the fact I have almost no smoke at all, and the power is better then ever

I will chill on any changes for now ...........

happy with this setup for the big city & freeways in LA CA

this mpg is great for everyday driving with approx 750 rwhp diesel truck
