Best II Injectors

I am leaning towards II for a set of injectors…

I would like to know if I should contemplate others. I want big H.P. done right and have the means to get there. I do tow, boat, 5th wheel and plan on twins in the near future.

The best injectors out there are Don M's His are head and shoulders above the competition, but they are more expensive.

I think we need a complete injector thread.

I am also interested in what injector level would work for me.

I'm all about quality and had a awesome set of Don's mach 5's on my 2nd gen. They were perfect in every way, tons of power, low smoke, low egts.

These 3rd gens are a little different and since I dont have a 600 series engine I know my injectors are holding be back more so then on a 04.5+.

Some people say smaller is better...weird and not too many people get large sticks as like in 2nd gens. I know don make ss 200hp injector but i havent heard anything about them. I know for a while we were all limited by out already taxed out cp3 and it couldnt keep up, but now we have great cp3 mods bu not alot of new news about injectors....Maybe we're waiting on better electronics like an efi live system so we can dial in these motors and supply more fuel...

Since you are in SLC I'd recommend getting II to mod your CP3....that needs to be done before you can use some big injectors as even F1 Flux 2's or II 3 flows require a modded CP3. I'd also get a billet intermediate before injectors. Why are you leaning towards II injectors? From what I understand in my talks with them they either buy Italian EDM'd nozzles or re EDM existing holes in the OEM nozzles which is tricky busines. I might be wrong but that is what they told me. For turbos....II is top notch....For CP3.4 Injection pumps, II is top notch. For Injectors F1 is top notch. If you are racing with lots of nitrous.....II nozzles will run good. For daily driving they tend to carbon up pretty fast....from my personal experience. Their customer service being from SLC will probably be great but living 3k miles away they promised alot and talked nice but got everything bassackwards and then dropped the ball completely. They do leading edge work but they can leave you on the bleeding edge. Personally I like them, Business wise I'll continue to do business with them, but it will be measured. ks

Don's injectors are amazing. His customer service is 2nd to none and the work is IMPECABLE! I cannot compare them to any others but I can't imagine anything else performing any better. HUGE HP increases!

Thanks

Thanks for the education... Regarding the billet intermediate shaft, that was an interesting statement. I have been told that was the shaft I should least worry about. In fact, they told me they see a failure rate on the billet as high as on the stock. Your thoughts…P.S. D.Wiggs is my inspiration, hope to follow in his power steps.

yep, That is what some people say....but not all billet is 300M and not all 300M is Maraged the same....I was told that alot of billet material about a year ago went crack....Hmmmm. Alot of it holds pretty good. Opie says he makes a non 300M shaft that stands up better than the average 300m shaft and Opie backs his products 100% from what I've been told. My billet intermediate shaft came with a 90 day warranty and it survived my R&D so I'm sure its ok for something north of 700hp. If I was building a tranny again, I'd get Opie to do all the tranny billet goodies. When the stars align Opie sometimes chips in. My stock intermediate lasted for about a dozen less than 20psi boosted 4wd launches (It's not the boost and torque so much as how long you are holding the boost at the line, a couple of stagings went wayyyyyy too long and a week later....ping, whirrrrr, vrooooooom) .... went out on a 10 to 70psi launch from 60 to 127mph...Oppps. ks
