best Fifth Wheel Hitch
I have a 04 Dodge ram 2500 Quad cab short bed.
I need to know what the best Fifth Wheel Hitch would be?
I understand you cant drill into frame or it will void the warranty on the truck.
Is that right??
I want it to be able to adapt a gooseneck too
I also want it to be a slider.
and I want it to pivot 4 ways...side to side ,front to back
Thanks

I have a huskey 15k that pivots all ways dose not slide but I know they sell them. As for the warrinty my dealer put my in drilling 8 holes in my frame also most companys sell a gooseneck adpter that sits in the rails that the 5th wheel hitch sits in. Hope that helps.

I just installed a B&W Gooseneck in my truck, no holes drilled. The hitch is rated for 30k with 7,500 lbs of pin weight. I also bought the Companion 5th Wheel Hitch. The Companion drops and locks in the GN hitch hole. The fivers is good for 18,000 lbs, it pivots forward and backwards, it pivots right to left (gas shock on that side), the arms can be adjusted to move the hitch forward or backward about 4" (I think?) and it'll swap to ANY B&W truck.
The GN is almost unseen, leaving the bed clean and flat. When I'm finished with the Companion I can leave it attatched to the 5'er or just stow it away....... and still have my GN ready to work if need.
