Best $457(cad) I ever spent.

Finally got around to installing my Juice Edge with attitude yesterday. got it off EBAY!!!!!!!!!! Everything went pretty good actually, the drilling and tapping of the exaust manifold was a bit crazy I kept screwing the tap up, but in the end I gotrdone. Im glad I checked what setting it was on before I took it for a burn, as it was a used item, it was still set to level 5. went through everything on the monitor and set things up. Just waiting for my overhead mount to arrive, in the mean time I have it velcro'd to the back of the cup holder flap, it actually looks ok, but its a bit too far out of my perifrial vision. Anyone considering getting a chip this edge is a very slick unit, egt, boost, load, engine temp, etc... Im in love with my "new" truck!!! Already smoked a lifted powerjoke thisafternoon.

Note to self, Ship to bordertown, go for drive, come back with goodies. If you want to declare it pay gst only, if you have a business you get it back anyway. If they audit you and you didn't pay gst and claimed the expense you pay the gst plus a penalty. If you are there for 48 hours it's 850cad free. I'm terribly honest and I always tell them exactly what I bought and even if its over the limit by a bit they are ok with it. It's the shipping to cross the borders that jams the prices up. Shipping to Niagara falls, N.Y. $60. shipping to Niagara Falls, Canada, $160. Note: Items declared and for which you want to pay tax on must have a Certificate of Origin, USA or be marked made in USA. ks

i had them shipped to the border and picked them up. cost $78 cad at the border to bring them over. not bad for 5 rims and tires... costco quoted me $320 / tire just for the same rubber. ($1600)

Most of the guys on ebay are also making money on the shipping because they arent making what they want on the product. I buy and sell h2 wheels all the time. I can ussually ship em across country for 100$. I avoid the borders though. The 510 is a good price if the tires are in great shape. I get about 800 for four ready to bolt on to a dodge

i have very little family in the usa [some in mass [mom's cousin], some in fla [mom's 2nd cousin]] and none near the border.. buffalo would probably be the closest but by the time i drive down there, drive back, pay gst/duty and fuel, it is almost worth it to pay a premium to ship it up here.

[same reason for performance stuff i try and buy from canadian retailers [BD, piers, nadp...]

REDSPIDER, I am looking at getting a Edge Juice with attitude and was wondering how hard is it to install. With all the readings it gives you must be running wires everywhere. Also you spoke of moving the display somewhere else. Can you disconnect the wires from the display to do that? Thanks for any words of wisdom you could share.
