More evidence the newer cracked cap rods, are hating life around the 1000hp and better.....

Fuel only.

(every rod is tweeked to varing degrees, #5 went past the point of return)
This is #3

(Did not stick a piston...bore is in perfect shape, after the rod broke......combustion pressure pushed the piston down the hole as the crank cheese grated it out the left side)

Woodruff's billet rods in transit.......

Experimental Mahle steel monotherm's in transit.......

The cylinder is in perfect shape, except the bottom of the bore that the rod
knocked out.
Didn't even loose the coolant.
Was 1/4 mile from the shop and drove back in the open door...LOL

Yeah the other pistons are perfect, 100% not even the slightest scratch in the skirts running 7.5 thou clearance.

That was a good investment in the Cunningham's......

Nothing's like the puke your guts out feeling when you blow a rod out the side.......

I like the 2000HP rating of the Woodruff's LOL I should NEVER touch those....
