Bed tool boxes
Bed tool boxes
In the market for a tool box for the new truck, had a Dee Zee on my last truck and it held up good for 10 yrs, anyone got any other brands to recommend before I get another DZ? Just sold my last truck so Its time to start spending on this one... tires, wheels, gauges, leveling kit, poly bed liner etc....
I've always used Tractor Supply Co. toolboxes, and have been pretty happy. I think they are made by Delta for TSC, but dont remember off the top of my head. Most people I know use TSC boxes, and are pretty happy with them too. Just a thought. Good luck.

I have a DEE ZEE and am happy with it, but a couple of my bubbies have weatherguard boxes. I think they are a little nicer than mine, but also more expensive. I guess it's all in what you're looking for. Here's a link to check them out. http://www.weatherguard.com/

Just bought a TSC box today, dont really care for the TSC badging on it but the box is nice, its a deltra pro steel, black paint, non-diamond plating and matches the truck nicely. You might check into TSC, good service and I talked him down 10% because of a few minor dings(who really cares, its a toolbox). Heck the guy even helped me put it on the rails, and i bolted it down with the J hooks provided in the parking lot.
WeatherGuard is the only box I put in the trucks I rig for the gas patch they hold a ba-gillion rusty fittings that never get used and don't shake apart like some of the others i've used in the past. I wanted the black to match the trim but stayed away from it do to heat concerns..I had the inside lower half of the box Line-X'd when I did my truck bed to help keep things from sliding around. here's a couple of pics of the 684 chest in my long box
Weatherguard. they have a very good locking mechanism. And latch great. I spent $650 for mine in december. I lock up over $7000 easy in tools and ammo in my box. Theres no way i'm buying something cheap.
That jobox looks good too.

Hey guys,
I have a Weatherguard 42" across the bed and I wouldn't trade it for any other. I have wasted a bunch of money on the cheapiies but not again. Buy the best, buy it once save money in the long run.
Good luck,
