Smile BD turbo Rebuild

To make the story short i am the process of buying a bd super b special turbo charger but the guy says it needs a rebuild because fuel got in the oil and eat the bushing.My question is,is it a good buy for 400 bucks and anyone know a good rebuild shop around San Antonio TX.

That sounds like it could turn out to be a fair deal. Are you going to get it in person, or would it be shipped to you?

I have heard of them and that's as far as I can go with that. Looks as if they may have more than one location? Or google is just turning up an old website or something.

I'm sure there are a few more around you.

Turbo's are relatively simple. I would call ahead and ask about a rebuild and what it would cost with a few scenario's.
I.E. Compressor cover and Exhaust Housing is good, but everything else is trashed.
Everything has too much play wheels came into contact with the housings.

That sorta thing. Try and get a worse case scenario so you can decide between repair or buying new.

I like my special.

Why isn't he repairing it and keeping it?

Im running a bully dog downloader/air raid intake/quad boost fooler and magnaflow exhaust.Do you think the turbo is a good next step?

As long as your transmission is good sure. Better fuel filtration would be on my list as well.
