People that get in your truck are Probally saying that because of 627 hp and near 1200 torq. WOW . Did you get yours from genos, and is it just the spacer and bolts and you reuse your old shifter and ****. Sure it makes a pretty noticable differance huh. Oh and does every thing fit right back under the console just like stock, is there any surprises. Thanks

I got mine from someone on here. And yes u reuse everything. I've got the genos "C" Power **** in black. The shifter that brings it closer to u is really nice but together thats over 400$. It feels like a sportster compared to stock I promise you.

So, $255+ shipping, for a shorter throw?

Is there no way to do this for cheaper?

buy used. Even if u cant find one used, it's just worth the extra money...if u dont have much else u want to do. Lift pump-shifter= lift pump. but, if ur in a position where u can afford it....do it and dont look back.. U can always use it elsewhere but it is so worth it if u dont look at ur bank account.

It feels like a full 20% less movement in the throw!!!!!! GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

Cut some lenght off of the shifter rod and you will have shorter shifts.

I asked the same question last week

Totally different answers.

Its at the bottom of my to do list as lift pump's, filters and rail pressure gauges are wayyyyyyyyy more important the having a shorter throw. New retail from BD is over $400 w/ shipping.....I mean if I was rich and ran out of things to buy i'd probably give it a try but since adding the Smarty my truck NEEDS better supporting mods.

Besides I like where my shifter is its right in front of my hand when its naturally resting on the center console. Id hate to have it in a different position like in a srt-10 style and have to re-learn it. Currently I know what gear im in based on instinct from putting 70K miles on it. I know when im in 5th but with a short shifter it may become more notchy and less obvious as to which gear your in.

Read my thread

Are short throw shifter really worth it
