any one open up the cone baffle thats inside the donaldson muffler, i took a pipe and massaged the cones a little and made an 2" hole through the center on the cone its still really quiet inside and not really loud outside, has anyone opened up the cone so its straight through?

 

My Donaldson does not have that cone...straight through.

 

is your muffler loud or any drone being straight through, mine is the mo90544 51"

Which muffler you got? Says on your info that you run a Flowmaster, why did you change ?

 

Nope...no drone. Had a small drone at 1500 rpm's with stock turbo...but none now with a little bigger turbo..

 

Mine is as straight as an arrow. CQuest, which turbo did you upgrade to? Thats next on the list.

 

Where did you guys purchase your Donaldson from?

 

i wanted to try the donaldson since there is such good things said here, but it is really quiet like the stoker never left, thats why i asked about opening up that baffle, i opened it up a bit further today and is sounding a bit better now Hairy1,and no issues with the flowmaster either but is a lot louder than the donaldson.
