Auto Trans

Auto Trans
I have a 05 2500 5.9 with 56,000 miles. I just added a Dr Performance module. It claims 85hp to the rear wheels. Do I need to be worried about the auto trans holding up? Or maybe a better question is at what point should I do something with the auto? And where do you start?
Next I want to add exhaust (Maybe an aero muffler to my 4" exhaust) and a new intake. Any suggestions on what to get?
Thanks,
Jay

If you don't have a set of gauges, that would be the first thing you should have, very important to know the temp of your truck when adding power. A torque convertor and valve body are both good things to beef up your tranny, but if you intend on adding more power down the road then you'll need a input, output shafts, billet flexplate, and more. Most end up changing out the exhaust or like you said the muffler, I went with MBRP but I'm sure there are more brands, and for the intake, all depends on how much you want to spend, they all do the job...just some better than others.

Your pushing the limit on a stock trans. It can be done but you have to be careful how your drive it.
I would be more worried about injectors with that mod. That box is pure pressure and really takes things to the limit. The stock injectors do not like it well over a period of time.
