Auto Meter Fuel Gauge Problem
Auto Meter Fuel Gauge Problem
Is anybody having problems with the sending unit on the electric 30# gauge in the Phantom series? I'm going to be installing my 3rd sender in just a couple of weeks. I have the sender located about 5 inches from the stock filter. I don't believe that the sender has to be grounded according to the instructions, but I might have mis-read them ?
Please advise, these senders are getting expensive when you don't want to wait for warranty.
Thanks

The Autometer electric sender's must be grounded. If you want to leave it where it is, use a hose clamp and attach a ground wire to the body of the sender and to the frame of your truck. Should solve all your problems.
