Aurora 5k help

my rig is a 2004.5 4x4 auto, with regular TST(not twins) and also adjustable TS mp-8(ramifier) an additonal carter pump, and i have just bolted up the ATS Aurora 5000 and i had to make an air intake tube because the factory would not fit in place, so i had to hobble a new air intake together with a K and N filter, has anyone used this setup? if so what did you find to put down the most power, i would like to attend a truck sled pull this weekend and want to know what i should set the tst and mp-8 at for the most power! also what did you use for the air intake on the Aurora 5k? or did anyone make a custom intake on this or any other charger.any info would be great thanks

I hope that you have a tranny that can handle all that power. Also, I think you need a aftermarket pusher pump such as a FASS or Airdog to supply the CP3 fuel pump, because the TST will need all the fuel you can give it. Other than that, let e rip!

hope this helps

What is the wastegate on the turbo set for? You will probably suck oil through the turbo seals as that air filter will not support the airflow of that turbo unless you are running at less than 40psi. IF auto Is your tranny built with at least a valve body and torque converter? If manual your clutch will be dead after a couple of pulls? Your set up is a little light on details that would lead to durability. If you could give a little more info in your signature that would be a start. That turbo is a brute. Are you running the stock lift plus the Carter? A fuel pressure gauge would help out to see if you are running out of fuel to keep the cp3 alive. Good Luck. ks

I used a 4.5" inlet filter AFE from a 94-02 magnum force dodge intake.
I also used the "metal" part of the AFE torque tube. I also used a 4"/4.5" rubber insert so the filter would fit (from www.intakehoses.com).
Another thing was the top part of the OEM intake tube the 5" part clamping to the aurora and the 4" part of the elbow connecting to the torque tube.

KABOOM, No offense but a stock tranny, lotsa fuel and a 75psi turbo.......somethings gotta give. Lottery tickets are a safer bet than you truck surviving a good thrashing. ks.

Your dreaming if you think it will hold up.
The tranny is what you should be buying first.

You should put the truck on tow/haul when you pull to keep it from shifting up to overdrive.

What charger are you running currently?

I would be getting a haisley tranny asap. I would also be buying some valve springs and a cam.
