If anyone is looking into an ATS trans. upgrade this may be helpfull. My friend bought one for his 7.3 and it had been great, shifted nice and did not slip at all. He apparently broke the input shaft just driving down the road 2 days ago. ATS told him they are having trouble with the shafts in the Ford and Dodge trans. breaking even though the truck has less power than they were suggesting. For example on his truck they say to get the billet shaft for 450HP or more, which he did not have so he didn't spend the $500. So if your buying one you may want to opt for the upgraded shaft even though they don'tsay you need it. BTW ATS has been good to him, he has their trans. propane kit and torque conv. commander and has been happy with their cust. svc. so far. Just an FYI.
