This past weekend I had the opportunity to be at the
"ATS/Cummins Rocky Mountain Truck Fest" held
at Bandimere Speedway in Denver. While there,
rumors were spreading that the red Banks Sidewinder
(Land Speed Record) Dodge Dakota equipped the
Cummins 5.9 Diesel Engine was running an ATS
TripleLok Stage IV Transmission for the quarter
mile runs.

I went to the Banks Truck in the pit area and
looked under the truck with several other people
and observed the distinctive purple ATS paint
still on that automatic transmission!!! When we
asked Banks employees if the truck in fact had
an ATS TripleLok they initially denied it, but later
confirmed that the truck did have an ATS tranny
in it!!! However, I did not see any ATS or TripleLok
stickers anywhere on that truck.

I am happy to see that Gale Banks and his engineers
picked the best transmission for their truck!!
I would like to congratulate Clint and Ranee Cannon
and the entire ATS crew for their transmission being
picked by Banks to run in this truck!! Those who
already have the ATS TripleLok Stage IV already
know what an awesome unit it is and now the Banks
crew know too!!

I think the diesel dragster that Bentz owns runs one also.

Ahhh- thanks John . Is he switching once the tranny brake is finished for the Dodge tranny? My brother in law helps him work on the car- thought he told me they were switching??
