OK enough 6.0 bashing, back to the converter question guys
I would guess its just another marketing ploy by brand purple, but the photo I seen advertized shows it as only a three disc with two steels. Isnt this the same as every one elses triple disc? I dont know to much about the internals but to me I could only see three frictions?

 

This is the same converter I'm looking at putting in mine. Would love to hear more about it. I think they get in the market for more is better 3 is better than 1, 5 is better than 3. I don't care as long as it holds up to 500 HP for a lifetime

 

Im tellin ya! The 5 disc converter holds very well I have done 20PSI 4WD launches with it without a bit of slip, it will put your a** in the seat HARD!!

 

There was a guy in TDR magazine that switched from his triple loc from ATS to the 5 disc and said he loves it...way better and picked up a bit of mpg

 

Sweet, sounds good. It's not much more than the triple disk was. I have about 2K to spend and am looking at the converter, flex, and valve body (for now)
