I have the Cup Smoothie from Geno's installed. I used washers to adjust the latch and it was working fine. Now it is stuck closed, I can't get the latch handle to budge. Any suggestions on how to get it open without messing up the latch or leather? Thanks.

It is an '06.

 

Mine did the same thing, had to bang it a few times to get the little part to swing down. This is what keeps it from opening while in the up position. It is done by gravity. When you do get it open, just need to move the washers around and make sure it swings free. On mine I can tell it never does it when I squeeze the latch to close it, instead of slamming the lid. Frustrating, yes and always when you really need to get in there.
