At what speeds is the Max Mileage most effective? Others are saying "cruising". I cruise at 40 mph sometimes and other times at 55 or 60. Wanna know where I have the best advantage.

I would GUESS cruise means not WOT.

I may never know for sure because the light at the end of the tunnel sure LOOKS like a train. I need tires and it ain't looking good.

Incidently my stock '03 seems to be happiest at 1800-1900 on normal highway with overpasses and such. On pure flat road 1600-1700 is most efficient.

My truck doesn't mind weight, but it hates aero drag. I towed a lowboy today with a somewhat bent front axle so drag was induced. That wasn't so bad until we put 72" tall by 36" wide side-by-side coke machine cages made of #9 mesh and 1x2" tubing. I sure enough felt that!

If Quad wanted to make me a tester, I would report like crazy. Otherwise it would seem at least for as far in the future as I can see, NO Mileage Max Module for me.

I JUST READ 12 PAGES OF NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just 4 people out of hundreds reported, and 3 had gains. I can't believe that more posters here aren't reporting their mileage, good or bad. If drivers get better mileage, they would be reporting it!! How many have sent there max mileage's back. Come in, Come in drivers!!! talking with the wife is more interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have taken ZERO back.

I am sure we will get some back, there is no doubt but, to date I have not recieved a single one of them back and we have shipped over 1000 of them.

Now, people still have plenty of time to send them back but, they work.

If you have sent one back, or are sending one back please post it up here.

I just recieved my upgraded X2 XZT yesterday afternoon. I am going to try and load the Mileage tune in PL1 this evening and give a couple of weeks test to see what it does for my truck.

Quad, when I download the new mileage tune to my box will it give me an option somewhere to put it in PL1 or does it just download it on the box and I have to set it up through the Commander?

Here's a logic train for you:

If you are genuinely interested in purchasing the box and have the cash to do so, then you should buy the box, test it out yourself, and set the example for the kind of information you want to see.

If you don't have the cash or the willingness to buy one, then the reviews don't have any relevance to you other than a "gee whiz" factor.

Quad has a ZERO RISK MONEY BACK GUARANTEE that will allow you to try the box, and if you don't get any results, return it with no skin off your eelskin wallet.

This would be somewhat more productive than demanding that those of us who have taken the time and money to try it out, post results we don't have yet. I commute 20 miles/day and that gets me through a tank every two weeks. I don't plan to burn fuel just for the sake of this thread.

There is no HP increase woth the max mileage. If you want a towing module, get the XZT2 and then download the max mileage tune for it.

If you look at the downloads and read the info under them you will see that one of the XZT tunes is for running the module by itself as a Max Mileage box. There will also be a set of tunes that say to use them WITH the Commander. It will also show you that PL1 is now Max MIleage tuning.

Thanks Quad. The one to use W/Commander was the one I saved to my PC at home last night and was going to downlaod it today when I get home. I just did not want to screw up my brand new box and have to send it back a day after I got it.

You cannot screw it up. I am pretty certain unless you run over the module you will never need to send it back. Even at that, the new case is pretty strong and it might make it. I might have to go try that now! I have thrown them off the top of our 2 story building!!!!!!

All right, let me get this straight. 12 pages, no returns(yet), some gains. I want the mileage, but horsepower to play with. If I get the XZT and commander, it has a max mileage setting? Just trying to clerify things. Thanks

I don't think the new X2 XZT comes with the mileage tune like the one I just upgraded to but you can download it into PL1 on the Commander and still have two power settings after that up to 65 hp.

dale29, I sent my old XZT to Quad's guys Monday, they got it Tuesday and I had the new X2 XZT back yesterday when I got home. I am also in Texas like you are which cut down on shipping time.

I was wondering how long it will take to get the max mileage module, I ordered it a while back and was thinking about just getting an xzt. (if I could get it any quicker)
