anyone tried the MILEAGE MAX module?
Also....the max mileage module pluggs into the map sensor and the data link connector so..........could do several things!?

That's different than the 04.5+ install by a long shot. For those models, the M3 plugs into the fuel pressure sensor and the MAP sensor, and that's it. No switch, no power levels, etc.
I wonder if that instruction sheet is for the XZT w. Commander setup?

How does dropping the rail pressure gain mileage? I could see if it increased rail pressure that it might gain more (more pressure atomizing the same amount of fuel better, making a little more power, meaning less throttle to make the same amount of power)
Hmmmm... you are correct sir. That isnallation is only for 1998.5 - 2002 years........ I still think it is in fuel delivery and durations, not rail pressure. Searching for the thread where quad explained it.

Well since everyone is chomping at the bit. I will give you my thoughts as I have been through half a tank of gas. It really seems to make a difference. The best my overhead would say is 18 on my normal city/highway type of drive to work. 18 miles each way with 5 stoplights, but running only 50 mph in between. It is now reading 19.7 avg.
Also I have already run 300 miles on half a tank. I was getting about 250 or slightly less on half a tank previously. I do think it works especially for my easy drive. I do think it increased power slighty and I have not really noticed a noise difference (but i always have the radio on). Give me another week and I will give you actual hand calculated numbers.
If I have used 15 gallons approx then I am getting 20 mpg and the computer is pretty accurate. Prevsouly the computer was always 1-1.5 mpg to high. So I am probably seeing at least the 12% increase as advertised.
Thanks,
Jay

Am still burning through my tank of diesel. Not used it as quickly as I would have thought (guess that's good). Overhead is steady at 13.9 where previously was 11.8 (am not sure how everyone is getting 19 or 20, guess thats for different thread). As for overall mileage, it appears that I should be getting 50-60 extra miles per tank = 2 mpg gain. When finished with this tank, I still plan on posting results, I only use 100 miles at best/day.
O.K. after running about 350 miles on the max mileage setting, I am proud to announce that there was a solid 10% increase. I'm not posting any "numbers" to avoid the whole issue, but 10% I can say easily! I have this habit of turning it up to smoke people out when they tailgate, so even with that going on...! It was still up over 10%! I think quads guarantee is conservative to say the least! If I were to change my driving habits....who knows how high I could get?! I also have to add, that at highway speeds and idle the engine sounds much smoother.
VZdude, so u have the Xllirator II right? u just run it on the MPG setting? what is that setting called on it? cause i might just end up gettin it instead of the max milege module so i can turn it up when i want too...thanks
Well......quad put together a custom tune for me. I don't know that it is an available download for everyone right now.....I may have already said too much!? Sorry quad!
Sounds like a good idea though! It may be catching on!

There are downloads on the site that allows you to have the Max Mileage setting in PL1 if you want. Or if you have an XZT you can load the tunes and it will be just like a Max Mileage box, or if you have a Commander/XZT you will also get the mileage tuning in L1.
Gotta quick question about my Max Mileage. I have driven
180 miles on slightly over 1/8 tank. Of course, I know the fuel guage is not linear. It really starts dropping fast after it gets below the 1/4 mark. If I fill up at 1/4, it takes 24 gallons in the 35-gal tank. Anyway, on to my question:
It looks like the little switch is not doing anything in the middle position. Can I just disconnect it and have the Max Mileage full-time? I have not mounted it. It just kinda hangs over the steering column right now. If I can't disconnect it, I'll make a bracket and mount it next to the brake-release.
