Question Anybody Running the A2

Just curious who has one, do you like it, what do you like about it, any flaws that you notice/problems?? I'm probably fixing to bite the bullet and buy one with the back-up camera and just wanted to get some feedback. Thanks in advance!!

Get a quad cab, you won't need a backup camera

Everything I have heard about these has been negative. The one person I remember running it had lots of problems with it locking up. Don't know what ultimately happened with his situation.

I had one over a year ago and it froze up alot. When it worked, it was awesome! I owned it a few months and after going through 2 new A2 monitors, Edge bought it back from me.

I hope they have fixed their problems by now....cause they are sweet monitors.

I have one and have had my fair share of problems. Edge has new OS from Microsoft, i guess they old one did not have enough memory. I have limited my number of paramiters it monitors to 6 and that seemed to free up enough room for it not to freeze up.

I still like it though and lately it seems to be working pretty well. It offers a lot of information and records a little data. I dont use the camera as much as i thought i would. I plan on mounting it on the back of my trailer as soon as i buy the cable and think ill get more use out of it that way. It is very nice when hooking up ball hitch solo. I also use it in tight parking spots.

The TOM TOM is just Ok, allthough i have nothing to compare it to. The only real problems with the TT is no updates for all the new roads around here. And i still have not used it enough to master all the options on trip planning. Sometimes it sends you the "long" way around. It depends if you set it for the shortest route or the quickest route. You cant program common sense route.

But even with the price tag if you add up a TT, camera and monitor i think its worth the $. All though it could do a lot more with blue tooth/MP3 some of the nicer navigation systems give you.

But i guess that would just complicate it.

With that said i still have my BD X-mon for back up guages

Look forward to your feedback. I am in the market for a programmer and seriously considered either Edge Juice w/att or the A2 version. I like the idea of the multi-monitor. Hoping you keep us posted on your progress with this installation.

Ok guys, I got it in and installed. Installation was simple and so far, I'm really liking the A2. I also got the backup camera and that is a cool feature. I really like that with the A2 you can monitor 8 different parameters on the main screen as compared to the attitude thats just 4. So thats really helpful. The display is nice and bright, no trouble seeing anything, the navigation is good with great volume, which is a complaint I had with my garmin gps unit. So far, I think its a great unit. Will continue to update as I use it more. If anyone has any specific questions, feel free to ask and I will attempt to answer as thoroughly as possible! I'll try and snap a few pics in a few days and put them up.

97360 is correct, must have the juice to use the A2. Now for an update, I've been running the A2 for a week now and am liking it very much. I love all the functions and such. The back up camera is working well and helps out in tight spots and parking lots. The navigation (tomtom) is working out well too, it has way more waypoints than my Garmin did. All in all, I think its great!! I'll keep updating as I use it more! If anyone has any questions, feel free to post here or shoot me a pm, I'll be glad to help out.
