Any problems adding a Rokktech timing sensor?
Any problems adding a Rokktech timing sensor?
It's the only mod I'll be doing for now. Will this void the warranty? Will dealer be able to tell that it is on? Any issues or potential problems that I should know about? I won't be running any guages, I'm just looking for a little better fuel mileage for now.
Thanks for any reponses.

As far as the dealer I dont know but I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt you will need guages. If you dont need/want em on a factory turck you wont with the sensor.
By the way I got one on my truck I am about to take off cause I am gettin the tst with adjustable timeing. If you want it pm me, I dont know what a new on costs but I will cut a fellow member a deal.

no, you can even loosen the bolt and slide it back down the stock position.
with a Box/downloader, it may have to much timing at part throttle.
from a WOT start, it is ok, but WOT from part throttle/roll will make a noise sometimes.

No problems on mine...only benefits of slight power increase at lower RPM and between 0.5-1mpg increase. I highly recommend it! As far as the dealer, the only way they would be able to tell is if they physically took the engine apart and during that discovered that it doesn't look like a stock sensor. To just look at the sensor installed they wouldn't be able to tell really, if they removed it they may be able to tell. Would they void your warranty as a result...likely not but who knows in this day and age. I for one say take the plunge and buy it. I likely will not be getting a box and only use this sensor due to the warranty scare.
I have been running the Rokkech for over a year now with no issues. Like CRXsi mentioned, the gain is in the lower rpms. Didn't see any change above 2k rpms except for slightly lower EGTs.
It's a worthwhile mod, especially if you're running a pressure or duration only box.
