If you can't find a vendor that knows squat about them, you should pass for $695. Other people might know the real answers though. I guess you get what you pay for.

Got mine from UPS yesterday.

I have one question, why the need for the downpipe? I obviously didn't get the turbo put on yesterday, but just from looking at it, it looks like the stock elbow should mate right up with the turbo? Can anyone shed some light on this?

it needs a special pipe because your new turbo has a larger exhaust housing and need the larger down pipe. if you are able to use your old down pipe then you were screwed and got a phony turbo! unless you have a 4 inch downpipe on it already but im sure yours is 3.5 diameter.

 

The 06 do come with a 4" down pipe if I'm not mistaken, that's what made me curious.

 

Any 04.5 and up guys put one of these on yet?

 

04.5-07 have a 4.25" or 4.5" inlet on the stock exhaust elbow. I found out the hard way.
