Welcome!

As far as break in goes, I think I would avoid heavy or fast towing in the first 500 miles. After you get a few miles on it, hauling a load up a hill or a good tow will help the rings seat. Avoid long periods at the same speed, and avoid putting a load on the engine below 1,600 rpm. No synthetic motor oil until fully broken in.

Of the aftermarket stuff, I would recommend the Dodge rear wheel liner kit. They are plastic tubs that keep stuff from getting slung under the body. Some sort of mud flaps or running boards are also a good idea.

As far as performance stuff goes, my truck is pretty much stock, so hopefully someone who knows more about that stuff will chime in.

P.S. fill in your signature so people will know the particulars of your rig.

Welcome to the site! You will find a wealth of information here, and some great people as well. Congratulations on your new truck. What Jeff in TD said about breakin is what you should do. Be sure and read your manual.
