Am I Missing Something Here?
Am I Missing Something Here?
I just had all 6 injectors replaced with new factory one's because I had three go bad. Anyway, with the TDDL set on extreme Im getting about 14mpg(city). I put my truck back to stock tune and I'm getting 17mpg(city). Does this mean that something could be wrong with the downloader, or could it be something else. Any info is much appreciated, thank's.
What do you run the triple dog on? A downloader can help you or hurt you when it comes to mpgs. What are egts, boost levels? The other thing is if you are running a higher hp level you could be draining the rail more than you know it, causing the mpg loss...do you still have the stock lift pump?

Thanks for the reply, I run the tripple dog on extreme. The weird thing is that before the injectors were installed I was getting around 18 or 19mpg with the tripple dog on extreme. I do still have the stock lift pump. Looking at Glacier Diesel lift pump or a Fass setup. This might not make any sense at all, but when I had the 3 bad injectors could they have kept the rail from draining with the tripple dog on extreme setting.
I ran a check for codes and it wasn't showing anything and I changed the fuel filter a few days ago. It was pretty dirty though. You are probably right, the lift pump has probably seen better days. It looks like the next thing on the mod list is a new lift pump. Thanks! Im still trying to learn about all this stuff.
