Just came back from my local Dodge dealer cause I need a cord for the block
heater. He quotes me $64.95 for #5086737AB. I say just the cord is all I need
and thats the price he says. Genos sells it for $11.95. My question is am I
missing something here or is the Mopar part better quality or fits better?

 

well being a dealership they are going to charge you more. they might not carry just the cord and might be trying to sell you the whole set up too. i'd go with the geno's part.

 

I got mine from Geno's, $18 and change with shipping.

I don't know if the dealership just sells the cord. It seems like you can only buy the kit.

 

Someone here awhile back said you could get it at a Cummins service center for around $12 or so.
