Am I gonna blow something up?
Am I gonna blow something up?
I have a superchip cortex. I was tuning it awhile back from tow to performance, when the programmer flipped out and stopped working in the middle of the tune change. When I plug it in, it says programed for performance but feels like stock or towing when driving. The chip is getting sent back to be worked on. My question, is if I pull a horsetrailer with how ir is, will I blow something up or destroy the truck? The programmer says not to tow in performance. I do have an edge insight cya to read egts etc.
Thanks

As long as you have a way to monitor your engine you should be fine. Just don't stay heavy in the throttle for long periods of time.
What should I be monitoring? I currently monitor egts, engine temp, and boost. I don't hit the floor with the pedal, and drive real soft when I am pulling it usually doesn't get over 1100 egt

Will you blow something up? Ubet. lol just kidding.
From what you described, you should be more then fine. If your not getting over 1100*, you're more then fine. Drive that sucker all day with that setup and you'll be golden.
