Thumbs up Alligator performance Outstanding Service

It's not often we take time to thank our resellers /suppliers, and expecially when we get outstanding service. I don't mean quick service and delivery, I mean beyond the call of duty. I recently purchased a downloader from Alligator performance, and recieved the item UPS the next day!!!! Wow I thought that's great. So excited, I immediately went out to download it in my truck, and that's when the problems started. The programmer was apparently previously used and when I tried to use it, it erased my ECM. I called the manufacture for tech help, and got the run around "it's not our problem we didn't send it out that way, perhaps your supplier goofed up"...no help whatsoever, and stranded at home the tech basically said "so sorry you'll need to take to dealer". Well I contacted Chad at Alligator performance, explained the situation, he immediately arranged to ship me out a new replacement programmer, and is compensating me for the towing bill and repair bill to reflash the ECM out of his own pocket. This is something the manufacture should have done not Alligator performance? This in my opinion is service beyond the call of duty. I know some of you will want to know who the manufacture is, however, it is not important at this time, as they will get theirs someday. I do want to again acknowledge Alligator performance as they have won themselves a new loyal customer. If you haven't heard of them check them out:

Chad is a very stand up guy. He has an awesome company and great service. I am glad to hear it out on the forums. I am glad you were able to get everything figured out.

I would disagree that it was the responsibility of the manufacturer if the unit was shipped from Alligator and it was in fact "used". I am impressed that Alligators owner stepped up so quickly, with apparently no arm twisting necessary. That's great! Sounds like stand up folks!

sounds like the story i had with the bully dog "fry before you buy" lol. tech support didn't care to help much apparently (the shop called on my behalf), and my truck was only a few months old at that point.

almost didn't pick up my smarty because of that, but glad I did...i thought I was done with downloaders for good! luckily the shop I went to (cmpchips.com) also did a great job getting me back on the road. they even personally took my truck to the dealer to get reflashed. i just dropped it off and got it back that afternoon. To this day i've never given them a dime, but after the way they handled it and really took care of the situation, I think I'll go pay them a visit. They certainly deserve my business.

anyway, thanks for sharing the good customer service experience. Its a rarity these days, but very nice when you do find it!

I used to live in Vegas and I needed a performance part right away, went to his store and what I wanted was not in stock. He orderd it, shipped over night and had it the next day, no charge. This was not the first time that he went above and beyond for me and this is why I will alway return to alligator performance for all of my performance needs. Keep it up alligator!

Appreciate the feed back guys.....and I thought I was special It seems Chad really likes to keep his customers happy. I'm gald I found someone who cares. I would not hesitate to recommend Alligator Performance to my friends in the future.

I agree, Alligator Performance is a great company and has awesome customer service. I just ordered from them last week. He called me the day my package was out for delivery and sent me a thank you card in the mail. Great people!!!
