Airaid MIT

I just got one of these as a gift but have yet to install it. I would like to hear the turbo more, but I don't really expect much else as far as extra HP or reduced EGTs. Do any of you guys know anything about these?

I have one in my truck and like it. However, I didn't really notice any increase in the turbo sound level in the cab ... who knows what it sounds like to the pedestrians tho'!

After running 7K miles with my AirAid MIT with prefilter, the insides of my elbow is absolutely clean. I can't imagine anything filtering any better. The element is an elongated truncated cone to give the maximum of filtering surface for the air box size. The pre-filter is a must have to keep the big chunks out of the pleats. Its weave is almost tight enough to serve as a filter itself. I am very happy with my AirAid.

I have an Airaid and the MIT tube on my truck, and have been selling a number of them because of it. Super easy install, quicker spooling and yes you can hear the turbo more too. And I have had not even a hint of dust or grime get through the filter either. Also, my filter-minder does not budge now vs. over 30% and more restriction with the stock filter in.

I'm very happy and don't hesitate to recommend it.

I have had one on my truck now for over 7K miles, seeing the same things as everyone else. Clean elbow, quicker turbo spool etc. Very happy. MPG's are still not what I was expecting but that is not a big deal. Enjoy

I think a lot of people make the mistake of just inspecting the turbo intake hose by the air box and not at the turbo it self. I had a very reputable drop in filter that was removed because it formed a oil & dust ring on the turbine housing just aft the silencer ring. I just installed a Airaid intake complete with the MIT and Pre-Filter but time will only tell how well it performs. I must say that I am very impressed so far.
