Airaid MIT vs stock gutted tube
Right now I am running a gutted stock tube, meaning everything including the baffles have been removed out of the center piece. All that is left is the directional vanes in the bottom elbow. I am looking for the best efficiency, so I am wondering if adding an Airaid MIT or DDP coolhose might have any effect versus the stock gutted tube.

I ran an AFE stage 2 for awhile and went back to stock. Now I am considering doing this to my intake muffler/baffle just for the turbo noise, kinda miss it. Notice much noise increase over stock? I seriously doubt you will pick up much between this and an aftermarket solution. Gotta figure in the cost of the aftermarket part as well if you are going for a mpg gain.

lets start over. the nylon baffles in the elbow were straightening vanes, they along with the silencer ring reduce side shear in the compressor raising turbo efficiency. the 6.7 air box and tube is the most advanced system there is. buy a takeoff this site for about $50 and add a psm kit. direct bolt on with one port to cover.

"Buy a takeoff this site" Where would I find that? You mean one in the classifieds? I already have a HD Mod on my stock box with a Napa 4" filter. Is the 6.7 box that much better?
