air flow
new here after just buying '05 2500 laramie 4x4. love it but need more. 33" mickey thompson atz on diamo wheels, edge juice with attitude monitor, magnaflow 4", and afe drop in on the way as we speak.
i want to see what i can do with the stock air box before i trash the whole thing. lots of opinions floating around town and on this site as to what works best. took apart today to remove silencer ring and found all kinds of crap in the air tubes. there is a perforated baffle in the straight section and some curved vanes at the elbow. the inside of the tubes are about as smooth as an accordion. remove all the guts? or replace with a torque tube?? the only thing that looks like it may serve a useful purpose are the curved vanes at the bottom elbow.
does anyone know the site that sells the blue hose/tube that connects the airbox to the turbo?? i remember seeing it somewhere and it looked like it may be better than the torque tube.
need to trounce my brothers f-350 so any advice would be much appreciated.

no answers? hook a new guy up!
just got back from my first ride without the silencer ring and i cant tell much difference. it seems that the diesel "whistle" is gone however. sucks because i love that sound. maybe i am just deaf from all those open headers and riding choppers with straight pipes.
