Air compressor mounting????

I had to get a new PacBrake compressor because mine crapped out. Problem is it won't go along the radiator support on the passenger's side like the old one because the new one is about 2.5 inches longer. It won't go on top in front of the air horn either.

There has to be guys with twin CP3's, belt driven fuel pumps, etc. that couldn't mount their compressor on top so where else did you put it?

Also, I got a tank to install in the mix so it will run my bags too but where in the heck do you put that?

Any pics would be a huge help. I just can't visualize these things going anywhere. I feel like a retard.

Thanks.

It's a Air Zenith OB2 and a 5 gallon tank mounted to the passenger side frame rail.

The electric valve on the bottom is to drain the tank of water, which I recommend you do for anything over 2 gallons. This way the tank won't rust from the inside out.

Thanks. You're not worried about water and/or debris hitting the compressor? Did you drill the frame rail or strap around it?

I picked up a much larger viair continuous duty and mounted it on the sheet metal support, under the bed, ahead of the tire.

I think I'm going to mount mine on the frame under the passenger door.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Drilled the frame for the compressor, and straps for the tank. The compressor has a remote air filter so I don't worry about dirt, water, etc.. getting into it. Most of the good compressor companies (Air Zenith, Viair, etc.) offer the remote air filter kit as an option for a few dollars more so I just bought it when I bought the compressor.

I have a filter for inlet air to the compressor. I meant road debris hitting the actual compressor as well as water spray frrom slush, snow, rain, etc.

I got a hold of PacBrake and they said try to minimize the amount of rocks, water, etc. to the compressor itself. I'm just going to mount it and forget about it.

Air Zenith didn't say anything about that other than to check it for damage once in a while. It's actually under the right rear passenger seat, so it's far enough back that unless I'm offroading, it shouldn't be damaged.
