I am planning on changing from the stock box to something better. What are the recommendations? I have read about the Scotty system, the Airaid, and the K & N. I have installed the Airaid mid tube so far and want to try what I can to get even better mileage.

Any suggestions?

 

Make sure you get something with at least as good filtration as the stock unit. K&N doesn't. AFE PG7 or Scotty's foam would be fine, or a good paper BHAF. No intake mods are really going to give you better mileage. My mileage actually went down with the AFE kit because I like the sound of the turbo so much I find myself smashing that pedal on the right harder than usual.

 

A Scotty with 2-stage foam filter is a good choice. Superior filtering and great air flow as well. You might also consider a Turbo Air Guide (TAG-III) which will also help to get more air into the engine and can have positive effects on mileage, especially when towing.
