Aftermarket Control Arm Questions
Will aftermarket control arms (longer) move the front axle forward (back into the center of the wheel well)? I don't like the way the lift moved the tire closer to the rear of the fender. If they will move the axle do I need the uppers, lowers or both?
There is no problem driving or steering the truck...I just don't like it visually.

Longer control arms will move the axle forward, some. With a lift you actually need the axle set to the rear, some. As the axle articulates up and the control arms become more flat, that pushes the axle forward. So if you have the axle set to far forward while at rest you risk pushing the axle to far forward during suspension travel.
Make sense?
As for needing upper and lower it depends. Some of the kits use a bracket to relocate the uppers lower and forward and the just use a longer lower. The best bet would be get adjustable control arms, upper and lower, and a bracket to lower the mounting point for the uppers.
Those are my opinions
Hope it helps

If you have the 3'' leveling kit you can try TOPGUNZCUSTOMZ.com, they will make you control arms to the length you want, just have to know what length you need. You could also get a set of control arms from the Pro Comp 3'' leveling kit that should work if you have a true 3'' spacer.Just make sure you get the Bushing and sleeve kit with the Pro Comp arms.I don't know much about the BDS kit but if it is a true 3'' spacer they should offer the longer control arms.Unless your kit comes with control arms it's a little tough getting that perfect setup.

Thanks for the info....my plan is to replace the 3" coil spring spacers with a set of 4" coil springs. The truck still has a raked look with the spacers and I want it to look level.
