AFE w/ torque tube or Scott w/ big blue hose for turbo sound?
AFE w/ torque tube or Scott w/ big blue hose for turbo sound?
I just straight piped my 05 and i want as much turbo sound as possible. I know the Scotty 5 hasnt been real world tested yet, but to me it seems lihe the inlet isnt as big as the AFE (ie less flow) and possibly less sound. Which ne will yield more sound when coupled with thier respective tubes (torque tube vs big blue hose) Thanks.
Yeah, send me the $90 or so that a torque tube costs and I'll make one for you. How's that??
Seriously, if you can tighten a nut then you can make your own torque tube for MUCH cheaper than the real torque tube will cost you...not to mention the complete AFE intake system. All you need is two 90 degree elbows, a straight section of intake tubing and four t-bolt clamps...all available at Air Flow Systems. Pretty simple stuff.
But, if you just want to spend the money, the AFE system will probably give you the most turbo noise....even though Scotty's system is probably a better product.
