I am looking into replacing my stock airfilter with a afe stage 2 proguard drop in, and installing a torque tube. Does this combination make my turbo any louder? Will I notice any difference in the truck? Thanks

 

it will make it a tad louder...but if you want it to be, pull the silencer ring while you install the torque tube. Power...you wont feel the difference.

 

I pulled the ring on mine and I like the whistle of the turbo with just a little throttle. My wife on the other hand says it is to loud when driving around town. I may have to reinstall the ring and test it out.

Yep sure will but do you're self a favor and get the AFE Super Stock kit. It is bascially a drop in fitler and the Torque Tube with the silicone boots and clamps at a reduced price as compared to getting them as seperate items. We have had great response from our customers that want to improve the stock system but don't want to go for a complete intake system. They are available in Pro Guard 7 too to help protect your engine!!
