Advice on TST Te setting
Advice on TST Te setting
I need advice from those running the TST (early twins) and especially the BDDL stacked. I am learning the Te (Torque enhancement) setting will drain the rail in a heartbeat, especially stacked. Is this consistent with others??
If I limit the Te to about (3) everything is good. If I go to 5, and Power at 6, this can be a problem. This is with the BDDL on Performance. Truck is running very strong. I beat the He!! out of it today for a change so that I could learn these things. I will continue until I am satistied. Transmission will be soon but still performs good. Although, I can drive through the converter like nothing, especially when I have been in any traffic. It is always warm here.
I really like the Te for driving around town, but if you hammer into it, it can miss when the rpm gets up there. I had problems with BDDL on Tow and TST on 6,5. Switching to performance did seem to alleviate the problems to a large degree.
My current settings are BDDL on performance, and TST on 2 or 3 Te and Power 4. This runs good by feel. I did a 0-60 (the first) in 6.3. This is launching at idle and wheel spin to at least 45mph and 3/4 throttle. This seems like something good is happening??
After talking to Mark at TST, there is one limit at the supply pump (as we know) and another at the CP3 (200+hp). He recomended a company and it is already known here for an upgrade. It is more $$. I am on this slippery slope and the dollors are starting to get silly. Is there an end??
Chris.
