i got the diprocol tranny temp sender which is 1/8npt. does any one know if the plug coming out of the tranny is also 1/8npt?

you will need a bell housing reducer and one other brass piece - so you will not put the sensor directly into the test port! I will look for post and come back...

ps: You will need to put liquid teflon thread sealant on all three parts... trust me.. .....It does not hurt the grounding of the sensor!

Be sure and put tape on the sensor. I got home from my initial run and had drips under the truck. I thought they were condensation drops UH NO, they were tranny fluid. I check under the truck and the whole underside was peppered with drips

I used the tape and haven't had another problem. We'll see if the tranny survives...

ok what do these two parts look like. ive been to the hardware and have no clue...if any one has pictures it would be greatly appretiated guys. thanks judd mcclure

btw - I had good success spray painting to match color.
with your VIN any dealer can get you a can of paint.

ok well i figured out a way to make it all work......the probe doesnt not stick out of the ushing that i have put together either.....do you think that is a bad thing, or will fluid still reach the probe even though it is set back some?

i am a little confused about doing the trans temp gauge ... what are the thread on the tranmission ?? with what i got with my auto meter trans temp gauge , can i not install unless i buy other parts ???

Unhappy please help

OK , i went and got the bell reducer and the bushing .. don't i also need a 1/8"npt nipple ?? i am lost on how the bell reducer threads into the tranny ??!!!i have the auto meter gauges and it comes with the 1/8"npt sender ??? you can't just thread that into the tranny ????/
any help would be appreciated ..
