ad150 ?'s
ad150 ?'s
I am going to be installing the ad150 to my truck and have been reading around about all the mods to make it not lose presure when around 1/4 of a tank. what happens if u run it lower, will this will it cause damage or is it just a pain because the truck doesnt want to run and you lose presure. I just want to know what im up agaist if this happens? I was reading a thread a while ago and it all most sounded like some one was sellin pre modded liberty cans. If so, who and what are they costing? also any other info on doing this would be greatly apreciated.
The other question i have, is looking also at the fass systems they have a 95/150,150/95, and a 150/150 just wondering what all this means because the AD is just 150 whats the compared unit. They also say if you should have extreme horsepower mods to run the 150/150 . Can you still run it if you dont or will it cause damage. The other big thing i noticed between the 2 of them is that the AD comes with 1/2" line and the fass only has 3/8" should that be upgraded to 1/2"?
I think the main differences are price, noise and size of unit. I'm getting ready to put the AD150 on my truck as well. I probably only need the 100, but I'm going with the 150 because it's the same price and "it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it . . . "

another question i have is with the mods i have now listed below is the ad150or fass150 to big? in the next year or 2 i want to up grade the cp3 and put a bigger turbo and injectors on hope fully. the web sites say that if you arnt heavly modded not to run the pump because it will cause damagenot sure if there talkin about the pump it self or the the rest of the fuel system. i only want to do this once but at the same time if i decide not to do a turbo and injectors later down the line i dont want to have to change the pump because its to big.
Here's the main reason that people have the 1/4 tank problem... they install the draw straw with the tank on the ground, and when they put it back in the straps, the bottom of the tank goes down about a half an inch... that and the placement of the draw straw in relation to the front/rear of the tank.
I have had these problems...
To fix this... when I installed the AD, I pulled the bed off instead of dropping the tank... this way, the tank is in the position that it rides in.
Second, when installed it, I put the first hole behind the fuel canister, and when I stepped on the brake, I ran out of fuel... Just infront of the canister worked great for me. I get to about a 16th of a tank before I see any drop in pressure...
Don't be scared of getting the 150.
