AC Blower Problems
I have a 2005 Dodge 3500 5.9 Diesel and the blower stopped blowing while driving down the road. When I pulled over to investigate and turned the key off the blower came back on. I turned the key back on and the blower turns off. I have since replaced the ignition switch and resistor, but the problem is still the same. I do notice with the new switch, while the key is in but turned off, that I can wiggle the new switch and make the blower come on. If I turn the the key on and try to wiggle it to make the blower come on nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
If there was no power at DB wire then ignition switch was NG.
A running bad blower motor would kill an ignition switch.
If you replace an ignition switch because of blower motor issue then you should replace the blower motor at the same time.
The actual issue was the blower motor (even through it's running) and not the ignition switch.
The defective motor drew too much current and killed the ignition switch.
