What do you think would be the absolute best twin turbo setup for performance, towing, and driveability?
I have heard everything from a B2 & SPS66, to a B2 & B1, to a Silver Bullet & B2, or Aurora 2000 & Aurora 5000, etc. etc. Would love to know other's thoughts and hopefully even personal experiences with any of these or even better ones.
Thanks. My truck is almost ready to be torn down!!

I think at this moment the ATS Aurora compounds are the best designed set of twins.....if I wasn't on a budget and didn't need or want everything I'd get them. Ot-Of-Here has a set. AK RAM has a set of BD twins upgraded to Super B / B2. (With his help I'm trying to clone them
) Several Arctic Air set ups on here also but most of them have had .....issues. ks

The trucks I've seen with Artic Twins were pretty impressive. There pretty good price too. Now if you could get that cp3 to flow alot more you might profit with going a B-1 & B-2 combo. Thus saying I'm pretty new to the performance field. Just sharing an opinion.

)What does the Super B Twins consist of ?
I wonder how crazy the Super B Special Twin will be!??!
I have a hard time breaking down all the abreviations for all the turbos, so I am often confused as to what is what.
What makes you say the ATS Twins are the best designed ?
From what I have read on here and other sites, the ATS twins are truly a bolt on and go, straight out of the box, and do not need any tweaking. Most who have the ATS twins stay with them, while others change it up a bit.
hope this helps

Any guesses as the HP & TQ I would be putting out with the ATS twins, everything I have ordered so far, plus new cams, CP3, and Fire Ring ?
I assume I would want to swap out my Edge for a TST Twins program, or would I want to stack? If I did swap, what kind of HP & TQ would that take me to. I just have no idea as to what I would be making.
With all of the other improvements, would there be a big power gain or reliability/driveability gain if I went to any other twin setup over the ATS's ?

not nockin on ATS at all i am running the 2000 on my truck which is a little small but i loved this turbo. as far as twins go, i have heard over and over that the PDR twins are the best setup. but i really really like the fact the ATS is a TRUE bolt on and go so thats going to be my next upgrade is putting the 5000 on top of my smaller 2000. everything else i have ever gotten from ATS have all been great producs so. its really up to you on what you want but like i said, i have heard no bad things about the PRDs and you will hear more people running those rather than anything else.

I was thinking exactly the same thing!
Does the TST Twins stack with the Edge so that you get the low RPM boost of the Edge with the high end RPM of the TST ?
I will be curious to see the NET HP figures my G-Tech Pro RR gives since NET HP is really what's important. In case you didn't know, Net HP takes RWHP and then factors in wind resistance and drag, etc.

Also, since I have never driven ANY kind of modded Diesel truck, am I assuming correctly that, with my setup I am currently compiling, the truck will pull hard and continue to pull harder from 2000-3300 RPM, instead of the way the stock truck pulls which is progressively harder from 1000-2000 RPM and then just abruptly dies off and seems just to "spin" the motor toward the redline ?
I figured that the twin turbo setup would make it such that it was pulling harder and harder until the redline came up and you had to shift.

Everything I've heard says that there is a 2 to 3 month wait for a set of pdr twins. To me that is not for sale....thats for offer and you can't put something offered on your truck. They are a good set of twins as my diesel shop owner has a set on. Lots of tuning to get them where you want to get. That's fun if you like that. The ATS's are like a Super Super Single that just bolts in and pumps out 75psi all day long or 40psi if ya want. That is a huge Turbo map. The others tend to be a little more fussy in where you are in their map from what I've seen and heard. Everyone with an Arctic has to spray to get big performance.....and that is ok. Any of the top turbo setups is better than stock. The price is way too high in my opinion. A silver bullet is a cheaper alternative that gets you 85% probably of what twins can offer and the missing 15% probably wouldn't be missed. If you are going to compete in a competition that allows twins go with the turbo system that works best for that application. ks
I think BD is making a twins setup that will take you up to 1000hp.
As far as which twins, what hp goal are you trying to get to? Are you wanting a setup you want to upgrade in the future?

ATS Twins
I hate to make it sound toooooooooo simple,.. but really it was. I ordered mine on Wed afternoon and had them on Friday Morning. I had ARP'd my head and knew exactly where I wanted my boost psi (62-64psi). They preset my boost to 62psi. Sweet. Everything was truly a bolt on deal and fit was perfect. Your shop will love ya if you get them.
My only suggestion to ATS to move this set from a "very good" to "outstanding fricking EXCELLENT" would be that they offer their new VGT turbo for the small turbo for absolute rocket launches. That's what I would really love to see!!!
