650hp+ Daily Drivers - What are you breaking?
650hp+ Daily Drivers - What are you breaking?
Assuming the transmission is fully built, which parts are expected to start breaking at the 650hp+ range? Maybe some boosted launches for fun, some dragstrip action, some towing, no nitrus, what's gonna give?
I know some of you 800hp guys probably have a long trail of busted stuff to show for it. What have you replaced & beefed up along the way?

Have to agree some of these guys run these trucks very hard, and some of the guys above are the leaders in the industry when it comes to pushing the envelope. As stated when built right, along with some common sense you can push these trucks and still keep the reliabillity factor very high.

If you have the power my advice would be to use the power sparingly or you will break things often.
The street can and will break parts when your tires hook to the pavement.
If you really want to break some parts start sledpulling.....

Tim, what all types of turbos have you been hurting? Dave told me when i ordered mine that know one had blown up one of his Pro Street 66 yet. Thats what i went with, 66/71/13ss. Hopfully this pump will get me to the 650-700 range, just curious what all turbos havent held up to your power levels? Thanks ~Ryan~
S-300 based turbos used as singles frequently let go in the 500-600hp range
S-400 based singles (a5k's) can hold into the 800's before they go...
Then twins are there for the rest...at least reliably.
