1)with the CURRENT mods in my sig i ran a 12.9 1/4. Thats with a stock clutch that is almost gone, and a 3rd gear 4hi 5lb boosted launch. consequently i think that was the run that put my clutch in the status it is in.

2) I hit 602hp @ 3200rpm spraying nos into the intake and maxed out torque on the 1000 lp/ft dyno cause it was mostly used for rotary mazdas and other ricers.

3)and if you care i got 5th place with 64 feet in my first sled pull locally with road tires filled all the way up.

Fastest hand shakers are low 12's. I think 12.2? Also you might want to consider the 3850 on the SBC. I just had mine upgraded to a 3850. Seems almost Identical to the 3600 on the pedal and a little stouter. 3600 is good to around 700hp they say.

I was told by Peter my 3250 would hold 650hp w/ no problem, so Id believe the 3600 will be good for more than 700hp. IMO unless you are pulling a sled Id go w/ the 3250 DD

The clutches are the same price and theonly thing that changes is the clutch preassure if you go bigger from what I was told. So with that in mind I figured a little extra time on the stair master might be necessary but it will hold a little more. I really dont mind the added pres. on the pedal.

But im sure if thats what Pete told ya its right but im inching closer to 700 and hopfully above I was told by the SBC tech to go to a 3850 and it would handle 50+ hooks to a sled before rebuilding!!

I have the SBC 3250. I had the 3600 but had some serious noises, squeals and rattle, and Peter sent me a new 3250 to replace it. The 3250 has been great, less rattle, and only squeals once in a while (3600 squealed all the time, 1st or 2nd gear launches). I ran a 15.1 on 35s with nothing but the Smarty, but wasn't very consistent. The autos run way better numbers.

The 3250 is now only a $150 more than the big single

Really? Wow Thats good to know. I guess I only thought that Cuz they charged the same to rebuild my 3600 and turn it into a 3850. That makes the 3250 look pretty appealing if your at or below ( and plan to stay there) 650 and dont wanna hook to a sled.

I read on the TDR that Southbend came out with a lower priced DD. Anyone have info on this?
